Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide
really?
Please explain because I have 5 defenders with formid pace+/incredible defender and their secondaries range all over the place. Some are solid pass/tech/pm or average pass/tech/pm(both 24 too*)) Could be an interesting test for me to see I think?

He's not really but he should do for next season as well when i want to try and push for auto-promotion so I'll need a decent GD. I had a bit of money burning a hole as well so I thought I'd try and get a bargain.
I did train DEF and I did train MID in the past. When I trained MID I also had defensive midfielders.
I have been watching transfers a lot as well for years now. Its hard to explain let me think....
To get a good price you need to make the player clearly a good MID or a good DEF. And with only tec he wont be appealing to the better teams. The ones with money and need for good players.
Lets say this one here
Daniel Elias Baleia, age: 18
club: almighty warriors, country: Portugal
value: 69 000 £, wage: 645 £
divine form, tragic tactical discipline
height: 178 cm
average stamina tragic keeper
good pace excellent defender
tragic technique hopeless playmaker
good passing weak striker
Ok train him 1 season tec, 1 pm. Presuming talent with end 20y he might look like this and be worth 400 000 $ to 600 000 $. Depends if he has a good staff there might be random. But with only one season tec, there will hardly be any randoms, price wont be much better than he bought him for.

good pace excellent defender
acceptable technique acceptable playmaker
good passing weak striker
Now this would change completely if he would give him after pm and tec 3 more seasons pace and 2.5 more of defense. He would be a great defender then.
Also works if he were to train 1.5 pace,0.75 tec , 1.5 pm,1,5 ps. Then he would be a nice central midfielder. All that, presuming good talent...
So simply MID or DEF with low mainskills and some raised secondaries dont promise profit.
And 24y with your skill .. defenitely not worth to be trained in secondaries. Increasing def and pace 2 more lvl would be more profitable. But you can make easier money with younger trainees.
Cant explain it better than that...
Buy a good mid till 21y with average def isnt that costly and then 4 seasons only pace and defense . Good Def with high sideskils are in high demand:)
Not the right place for it , so applogies to anyone who feels bothered by it:)

Not sure 100% that you have explained your example too well, so please forgive me if I have missed your point.
So, going out on a limb a little, it seems you are arguing that its a better idea to buy a young midfielder and train up his defender skill than to buy a defender and train his secondaries. I agree 100% with this point and all of my current midfielder trainees are destined to be turned into defenders at higher ages.

Yeah I feel too that I might have explained it badly, but cant think of a better explanation.
I only know weak mainskills and only one sideskill trained up is not what the market asks for, it asks for complete players. And this chap wont be with 19y. I did actually try a long time what he will attempt and the result was as explained, 1 season traning for nothing:)

And about this I am very sure.

very good form, tragic tactical discipline

Grabbed him for a beautiful £753, really not affecting my low budget at all. Will be stamina(ed) until end of season, then will get pace. How much was I robbed by?

You do realise if you shop around you can get strikers with ex tech n finish, middys with ex pass n pm and defence with ex defence n ok secondaries for around 30k? So why waste money and time trainining these sort of players?
just over 900k, got 3 defs suspended for next sunday and needed cover (hope form will raise...)

i was watching him, i don't have any cash i was just curious to how much he went for.
rise in form should see you a profit when you re-sell

3 suspensions ouch. Your injury should be back for next weeks game. Pace wise he should be fine but don't think incred is good enough for prem. Defo will make cash back when sell him imo tho.
