Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

I think you haven't yet got to the point in the game that I've hit DJ - Bit of a quandry really, which can only be solved by spending as little as possible on good enough players in the first team, while freeing up as much money as possible to improve the trainee base. Let's see where you are when Benstead hits 28 :)
Alright. Don't have to cry about it :-S
You see, you try to give this impression that you're being helpful, but most of the time you just make snide comments.

In my opinion its the right price.

That's an excellent buy monsta - you've got a good chance of winning this league if you keep buying in this manner. What you do in a couple of seasons time is another matter. I find this an interesting strategic problem, which sadly doughnut jimmy is too immature to contemplate.

A couple of extra levels on pretty much anything would have doubled his price. These players work well in a team, but never seem to sell well. Not sure why.

Am I the only one in our league that doesn't have a "strategic problem"?

Cheers mate, although I'm unlikely to buy anymore significant players this season..my aim besides slapping dj around is simply to avoid auto relagation (although thanks to robnob that's in the bag this time) As for the decent oldies vs a sustainable training plan, I totally agree....it's easy to manage in III, but far harder in II. My strategy is train keepers, and turn them over every couple of seasons. As for II, my long(er) term plan is simple.. sell off all my old codgers in 2/3 seasons time, take a massive hit on the cash, get auto relagated and sit mid table in III for a few seasons while I train defenders or strikers with my by then awsome keeper just about keeping me in the game..I will then regroup with a far weaker (short term) team, whilst developing a decent longer term team before begining my ascent to my rightful place in the Prem.

As for DJ...it's his time of the month so I wouldn't take it personally ;-)
