Interesting, I will try to give him as much space as possible like any other striker, and I guess I will soon discover that his lack of tech means that he could be a frustrating player at times.

Anyway, he is my best striker by a fair way, and I have managed to score a fair few goals with worse strikers, so I'm sure I can get him to perform ok.

Maybe I can learn something from watching your games then, I've sold strikers with v good technique after tearing my hair out watching them try to go past players.

you've never tried playing strikers really high up.

its very hard to have players 'go past players' I think that higher tech with strikers enables them to take the ball from a pass better and therefore give them more time to shoot. I hate when they recieve a good pass and it bounces off their feet.

I'm not sure how much you can learn from watching my games. I have lost my last 3 league games in a row now.

My lack of any kind of decent defenders or strikers has finally started to catch up with me (They get decent match ratings, but thats because they all have loads of secondaries).

Thats why I am now putting in some effort to shore up my defence (I previously had a v.good, good, excellent set of defenders, and buy a second decent striker).

I think he'll do well getting onto the end of through balls like you say. Sure he'll have no hope of getting past anyone with the ball, but I'm sure he'll get plenty of chances to out pace people.
