Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

2007-05-21 17:23:33
I am desperatly trying to find 11 players that will win me matches against the best in my league. Ironically, the best teams in my league just keep plodding on with training and getting better and better. You think that would tell me something wouldn't you ? :)

Oh, and I got this guy for Def / Mid yesterday for 650k...

Tamás Bognár, age: 23
value: 154 650 £, wage: 1 680 £
club: Norwich City Nil, country: Magyarország
unearthly form, weak tactical discipline
bookings:

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
adequate pace, very good defender
good technique, excellent playmaker
excellent passing, hopeless striker
2007-05-21 17:26:41
it can be slightly boring. i was trying to work out my next significant purchase and worked out it would be the end of next season when i sell Phil Mills.

to train tech for the season should be fine but if his pace was better but beggars can't be choosers i suppose
2007-05-21 17:30:48
With hindsight, I'd have waited and spent a million on a better player today. But I am the manager, and I decide.

Apparently.

That level of pace at 23 will let him down. Not really good enough for the prem at the very least.
2007-05-21 18:03:58
what level of pace do I need ? Are we talking about gubiec ? I can always resell the other guy at a small loss.

I think Gubiec is well worth what you paid for him. A magical def with lots of pace and decent secondaries, add to that the inflated market at the minute and I think you got a bargain.
2007-05-21 18:38:58
I think in the prem ideally you are looking at at least excellent, or marginally lower if they are well skilled elsewhere. Any less, and you will be punished for it, especially against my side, and AC York who have a lot of speed.
2007-05-22 10:25:08
Well, I don't think I'll be troubling the Prem for a good 4 months at least :).
Backup / trainee striker, in case of Marlet related emergencies break the glass. 250k ish. Robbed ?

Karel Bryssinck, age: 21
value: 78 300 £, wage: 765 £
club: Norwich City Nil, country: Nederland
magical form, poor tactical discipline

average stamina, tragic keeper
solid pace, poor defender
solid technique, average playmaker
poor passing, very good striker
2007-05-23 09:11:34
no, but does he stand a chance in our league?
2007-05-23 10:36:11
depends upon the service provided to him
2007-05-23 10:53:04
not really, he is for emergencies and profit only.
2007-05-26 15:27:10
Ken Saflex, age: 16
value: 33 000 €, wage: 675 €
club: the orange army, country: België
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

poor stamina, hopeless keeper
good pace, hopeless defender
unsatisfactory technique, hopeless playmaker
hopeless passing, good striker

60k

I train 15 weeks technique and then striker.

Well, you can't be robbed if you didn't pay anything.
