Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide
He isn't in useless form though, so hopefully it will improve. Be a monster when in divine form.
It's probably "his price", will be very useful even after the odd drop (as he's nearly 29).
Players that talented tend not to start dropping until they hit late 32 at the earliest. I'd suggest gibbage is smart enough to keep for a couple of seasons and then sell on for about 3 million ?

Interesting you should say that, as Hardcastle in my team has dropped at most 1 skill level on his skills (nothing at all on defending which was never superdivine) and is half way through 33yo.
I have a player with magical defender, and 5 other decent skills (11-14), nowhere near as good as your guy, and he is now 32 and has had no drops so far. I'd suggest that 34 is when you start to see a real decrease in skills, but with the most talented players they will still be useful, provided they avoid injury.
Corey Bridge at 39 has somehow only dropped 3 levels of defender. His pace on the other hand has dropped some 8-9 levels, so suggest some skills defo drop quicker than others!
Plops are directly relevant to the following things:
•talent (less talent, quicker plops)
•how much the sub level is (less sub level, closer to plop)
•age (older plop quicker)
•skill level (higher skills plop quicker)*
*Not sure if this one is true?
Many of that is obvious but I thought I'd throw it in. Certainly luck is a big factor particularly if you haven't owned the player for years.
Gibbage would be very, very lucky of he didn't get a plop by age 32 IMO.
Edit: now I've read gibbage's last post, that shows to me plops are almost the reverse of pops. Pace plops are the quickest, lowest skill plops the logest etc

SK would seem to mirror rl for once.
You hear commentators saying a player has 'lost a yard or two of pace' ...whilst the other skills remain - Giggs, Scholes anyone :)

yeah, thats the way it should be, good players never really just pace and stamina.
Well, as I've owned several players past the age of 32, and have had 3 or 4 of them not plop until late 32 / 33, I'm happy to believe otherwise jimmy. But you're entitled to your opinion. My rather rubbish keeper plopped in pace last week at 31, so it does happen.
i have a load of players over 32, and with most i've had 1 plop in a skill every 1 and a half seasons, even my 35 year old doesn't plop very often :)
Like I said already, sub levels play a part. I've had several 28yo's plop in pace, but then I don't train it at all so the decline is going to be quicker than training it on duffers like you probably do all the time.
Happy for you to carry on doing that :)
I am surprised other plops aren't perhaps a bit quicker, as I would expect older players to be more expensive.

Maybe I'm getting too old for forums, but I find the unremitting oneupmanship quite boring these days.
