Subject: What are you training?

Well I think you will end up training pace and biting the bullet.
How are arcade matches a way around day trading?
The problem with selling at 24 is trying to progress up the league. There is such a gap with trainees that there is a real risk of losing your cash if they have not developed optimally. Its quite a strange market where provable potential is 9 10ths but once trained unless near perfect they can be worth less than you paid.

I wondered the exact same thing? Maybe he means if he is playing a match and doing orders he's not busy looking to buy players on the market ... but that is just a guess so I'm sure Dale will be able to enlighten us :-)

When you buy a player you normally can't TL that player again until they have played a certain number of games or after a certain amount of time. I don't know the exact number or how long you have to wait, but if you play arcade matches it counts as a game towards the total. So by playing arcade matches you can list players quicker.

If that is true, I have to say that is a bit naff imo :-( Are you sure that is the case though?
Ok, I have plus but I don't day trade. But, having plus shouldn't allow people to do this easier than people who don't have plus. If you can day trade then anybody should be able to day trade with the same conditions in place. Fwiw, if people want to day trade then I have no problem with them doing so ...
I wouldn't know where to begin with day trading, I'd likely just end up with a huge loss!

I know exactly what you mean. I did have some emails from philfox, but now can't locate them on what total skill sum he looked for in each age group for pace training.
I don't think I'm going to fight relegation now this season and throw the play off match. I feel dropping down to div 3 would be more financially beneficial than staying in div2 another season battling for points.
I've been doing a lot of searching into general training and passive training, there must be a way of making money from a B team, but also training 5 trainee's in the first team? I remember Woppa telling me when I first started to train the entire team and not just a few select players. I think he was on the righty lines.
Looking through all the top teams in every league and even the NT the starting line up is 27yo plus having a lot of experience in older players they are just dead money. If you buy one at 27yo for 5mill he will probably be worth 3mill by the time he is 30yo. You now have to recoup that 2mill loss with trainees, I can't see anyone in the top leagues playing trainees in their starting 11 either because they simply aren't good enough.
I love sokker over other manger games, but the more I think about training the more it doesn't make sense, but I could be completely looking at it from the wrong angle.

I'm not going to lie I'm attempting it now, I've had a few losses, but I've also had a few 200k+ returns.
Never buy on a Sunday is rule one, day trading used to be buying during the day or early hours of the morning and then sell during busy periods evenings. Tbh now though some people will lump on high prices if the player finishers in the early hours to make sure they get them.
You are right it is naff though another small glitch that might get people wound up enough to leave and not say why. Although I believe there are more other concerns that people have

Btw, does anybody know if there is a limit in place on how many players somebody can list in say 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month?
Or whatever the cut off is?

I'm not sure I know if you don't list a player for a while then suddenly decide to sell your whole team this can be done.
I've got 6 in the list at present and it still allows me to list more.

I totally get dale and his day trading...I think I am doing a bit something like that at the moment...just that I train a few weeks before I sale some of them...
I think the only way to get money from B team is to train the exact age between 19 and 21. The best time to sell is at 20 in my opinion ...and if you train 1 skill (pace for example) you must find players that with a few pops will get to little stars...for example what I did with Brandao...got him on 2014-01-07 for 781 000 £ (114 750 £ value) trained pace for a bit and got 2 pops and 1 random in passing which made him quite a little star...sold on 2014-02-23 for 1 402 350 £ (192 900 £ value).
Now is that considered day trading or just pure luck? :))

I don't think that's day trading, I suppose the term is used loosely now. Due to the change in rules you technically train a player for a week at least before re sale.
Nice profit though ;)
