Subject: League matches 16/03

So we're down to just 1 week left in the season.

I'm just praying for no suspensions or injuries in my last league match and for a playoff opponent that I have a chance of beating as I'd really like to promote to L2 if possible this time around.

Good luck with that. Have you had a look at Blue Helicopter's promotion table for likely opponents yet?

I imagine it could be one of several.

I have a tough game tonight against Uranus Fire, who i have just realised have turned bot. Not sure when that happened, but i have a feeling it was a good while ago :S

I've set my team but hardly confident. Pretty equal in stats just hope my poor tactic can give me a better result than Beer Is Not An Excuse so i win the league.

Well, my opponent had turned bot and a new team had been allocated. So unsurprisingly we gave the new team and manager a bit of a hiding with a very defensive tactic (as I didn't want to score 20+). I reckon if we had properly attacked that it might have got even more ugly than the 13-0 scoreline. So now I wait for my playoff opponent and let's hope I get a fair crack of the whip this time ie. no flaming red cards in the first 5 mins of the match for example :-( I'm not still bitter 1 season on, can't you tell ;-)

Lost 3-1. Didn't expect to win with current changes being made to my squad though.

Well that was a surprise. Inter had a 10+ worse rating than last week.

I think I am back in III finally, not really sure what to expect or if my team is good enough tbh as I have not looked lately at III. I have funds though to strengthen if needed.

Somehow I've blagged a qualifying match! I was under the impression that if I came last I get relagated straight away?

It isn't last that decides it. In a nutshell, all tables across the league are effectively put into one big table, and then the lowest from that will then be relegated. I imagine in theory you could probably finish 6th and be relegated ultimately.

If you were battling to win the league and did your bit, but your opponent - who could only win by 6 or 7 goals - were able to batter their opposition 18-0 nil after taking points off several others up to that point.
