I am currently training defending and one of my 34 yr old midfielders popped in defending today. I wasn't expecting that!?!

Does happen. All players do get training regardless of age, I am sure Bensted had a pop older still than that. Plops happen Mondays so expect him to go back down.

Indeed. He popped to outstanding playmaker at the beginning of this season aged 37, 10 weeks ago.

He still hasn't plopped though, and hasn't been trained in it.

2 arcade matches are played, all conditions as pitch condition, form of players - even the weather - are exactly the same.
Yesterday win by 3-0 (opponent had 1 red card on a mid winger after 30 min) and today a win by 7-2.

IMO I think the GOAL difference is TO big between the 2 matches to feel complete comfortable with the reliability of the game. (There are small differences in teams and individual players statistics but that is quite normal I guess - everybody could have a more bad/good day)

(Or is it just me...?)

EDIT: Anyone who has not tried plying arcades? Please feel free to challenge me. Its quite a nice and fun way to spend some time between "real" matches :)
Advantages are, perfect for develop and try new tactics (you can try a 3-6-1 for instance without loosing training) and no injured players.

Its the random factor...no match is the same...so its all driven on the ball movement...for example the "duel" between a striker and a defender can differ in times the two meet in one game...same about all players ...so the match engine has a formula...that sets the outcome of such a duel (tackle or dribble) ...that makes scores differ a lot...I think it can be right.

yes, good point, of course you're right.
That means that there is a thin edge between a win or a loose I guess.
I had a 2-0 lead but after a few minutes the score was 2-2 and since I only managed to score 3 goals yesterday my opponent (with some more "luck") could have won today.
