Hi guys,
I would like to candidate as a NT coach to your U21 team. I beleive, in your team has much more potential but unfortunately your team have not qualified for the WC which is a big suprise for me.
I think something need to be changed.
If I get the oportunity to manage the U21 in the next season I will lead back them to a good position for a next WC qualifing draw.
Myself used to be an Hungarian NT coach and in the current season just been promoted to the second laegue in Hungary with a maximum points.
I would work together with you guys and hope get a chance to bring back your team to where they should be.
Regards,
gyenge

How many seasons did you manage the NT? and do you have any U21 experience?
It has come to my attention that some users (may not be the case here!!!) just jump on easy U21 spots...as soon as a manager gets bad results hop...they come to take over! What made you choose England instead of Hungary? Are our results what brought the English U21 to your attention?
Those are my questions! Best of luck to all and may the best Manager win these elections!!!

I have two season as Hungarian Nt coach. Usually we did 2 seasons in the past one of the qualification then the WC after that most of us resigned to give oportunity to someone else. Nowadays it is changed.
I do not interested to be promoted in Hungarian U 21 at the moment we had a good, ambitious coach also few users looking forward for seasons to be so I let them to get chance.
No I do not have U21 experience as main coach but I beleive 9 IRL years gave me the experience to manage a young team.
As England and HUngary was in a same group of course I follow your U21 NT team too. I do not think England is any easy spot to jump in, but in fact the result wasn't as good as it should be, so the challange is there, make a team succesful.
To take over a team after a bad result is not really depend on new candidates but ddepend on voters.
Thank you very much for your best wishes.

Hi gyenge,
I know that both you and mansid are qualified and good coaches, if I as an "outside observer" may suggest:
One of you guys should apply for England NT instead since Lorre will be Norway's NT next season and there is a vacancy to be filled.
Up til now there are no candidates for England NT and I know that you could do a great job there while mansid continue his work with the younger players in U21?
Just a thought as I said..... :)

How did you do when in charge of the main Hungary NT? Why England as opposed to another country?
As England U21s didn't qualify for the WC, what do you think you will do for the coming season?

In qualifing group I finished at 1st place in front of Mexico. Also i managed to Hungarian NT to the 10 place of world ranking that stage.
Unfortunately on th WC we wouldn't get in to the best 16. From group Mexico, Spain, Denmark. Even we were the favourite and have many oportunities againts Denmark we lost 2-0 and that was the main point to not qualified.
After that I played mostly against strong team, like Germany, Croatia, Poland, Romania etc.. to increase ranking point that was important for the group before thext WC qualifing draw. And we were in the first "bowl" when I resigned.
On the three best matches: a serious defend of Germany but then beat poland and of course for us a big prestiga match versus Romania where I have victory again. Few other match of course.
If I get the oportunity I would try to make as much U20 match as we can in the next season. The reason to do that because the coming season is should be prep for the WC qualifing. Now all the 20's would get some extra training, and that would be a good benefit for England. Even if my oponent will win the election, I recomend to do this. I know its only small bit of extra but in this age mean a lot.
Also would try to bring the U21 among the best 32 on ranking points to get better position at th WC qualifing draw.
Thanks for questioning!

To take over a team after a bad result
It depends how you view things. Yes, we didn't qualify out of the group but imo, we did about as well as could be expected given the rubbish players we had to work with...

Thank you to point this out however these are not my words I just reflected for Qstarw
" just jump on easy U21 spots...as soon as a manager gets bad results hop...they come to take over!"
Most of the nations has difficulties with U21 players and of course I can't say your players are bad or not due I have no see your database however reflect to the team average mark England U21 is not that bad.
I think U21 team played a bit deffensive and MIDs are not supporting enough the forwards.

" unfortunately your team have not qualified for the WC which is a big suprise for me.
I think something need to be changed."
I believe we are already in that change, its taking a while and a lot of activity doing so, but i do believe with the help of us all..... and i mean all(no matter how annoying we sound to the current u21 manager :P... ) that WE are progressing or going forward, however you look at it. And i hope some can forget arguements or spats in the forum and give the right vote. ;)
