cant believe lorre is leaving...

Hi i am applying for the NT position, only because i hear Lorre is going to Norway. He would have had my vote otherwise ;P. I would like to see Qstarw apply for this position as i see him as a great replacement (maybe not as great) for Lorre... i am on this game a lot and share a passion along with others. There are many more great long time managers who given the time req for NT would do well too. But if given a chance i will hopefully show a bit of old fashioned Shankly managing style to England.

I don't mean to be disrespectful but your time with the Scotland U21s was hardly a roaring success.
If you were to get the England NT position, do you feel that you've learnt from your previous U21 role to ensure that you were to do better this time? Anything you care to divulge as to what you might do different, without giving too much away? If you pull it off, it would be some feat having managing both Scotland U21s and England NT ... lol ...

i had my moments.... brazil and england amongst those ;) i brought the best out of a lot of fringe players and made them internationals. I think anyone who takes over the England national job has had all the hard work done by Lorre and should look to bring other players through. I always said i would have love to have only played players who play in that nation, and always look to the experienced players for help and feed back even if bad,,,, Who ever gets this job is already up against it, only because of how well Lorre has done.

I'm actually surprised so far by the lack of candidates. Just you, and a Swiss manager who can't be bothered to write a speech or write in the forum (and so may not even know English, so why people would vote for them I don't know).

He speaks German and Turkish and will use translotors for English (I sent him an email).

I think speaking the language is a bare minimum. It is also not as if he has particularly good credentials to speak of that I can see, his Swiss record (which is a similar kind of NT to England) nothing to shout about.

I would LOVE the job...waiting for this a long time and would not be scared to step on after Lorre but I will first have to find a good U21 for Canada because I said I would stay not knowing that Lorre will go :(.

If a good manager would like a go at Canada U21 I would gladly try England!!!

This was a suprise, very gutsy after the very successful Lorre, the very best of luck and of course you have my vote for your support for me in the U21's.

Maybe it would be best to keep some of Lorre's tactics to use yourself if anything you will be a better manager for knowing his tactics (assuming he leaves them for you & you get the job) i no i would.

You told me you was'nt interested in the main teams , you found U21's such fun ... now this is a turn up for the books!

Well I gave it a second thought, and at NT its where the tactics matter most and where the superdivine magic happens so...here I am.

On the plus side its a qualification season that we start from top 8 but I think its tougher than it seems!

Do you feel it will be a hinderence not having used the kind of quality of players you get at NT level? What would your expectations for the coming season be?
