It is normal to start thinking about friendliest during the two weeks of the election.
Obviously everyone knows that the opponent may or may not be elected but doing so you can save time and create a better calendar. In some case a positive attitude can make rivals working together to a shared calendar

If the incumbent is running for re-election it is really up to them to sort. After all it is their name on the door until it says otherwise.
