Had to do it. Everyone else loves you on here hahaha. Right, Al?

Booing wdp is almost always a positive. There is the odd occasion where it might not be justified, but mostly it is.

You love me really. ;)

Its my birthday today by the way, now officially not 50 any longer :/

Getting back to the season, I am actually having one of my better seasons which has shocked me as I feel my team is weaker, this time last season I had drawn 1 and lost 2 league games. Oh but I still had 2 miserable fans leave today lol

Nev Bruce cost = 0
Profit from any sale = infinity%

Barnes cost = 2.5m
Profit from any sale = less than infinity %

Not true... a junior coach and ys spot cost money
2025-02-24 12:11:56
Also future training is part of any equation
2025-02-24 13:46:58
Thats it, you tell him Adaca ;)
2025-02-24 13:52:09
And its not as simple as saying all juniors divided by costs. I think the cost should only be divided with those you actually get some money from. For instance minimum 250k euro, as otherwise they were waste of time, and couldnt be justified their spot.

And i also dont feel weeks in junior school is something to put into the equation, as long time in junior school means they get training without wasting training spot.

So my equation for youth pulls is simply sale price-costs/divided by juniors you receive fair to good money for.

Thats fair, I still struggle to see an accurate talent even using the programs available now for my youths.

Cost money you would spend anyway.

Any stat that goes against wdp, is a worthy stat. Plus any player that didn't require giving JE 125k too is always going to be better.

Nonsense

In 20 years of playing this, I don't think I've ever not had a junior squad.

Even if you did do the costing, Nev Bruce was pulled as a 16yo. So if you are going to need his costings, then looking at probably in the region of 6k, which is still about 2.5m less than wdps player.

I don't think it's possible to conclude the cost of a junior without factoring in the cost of the youth coach, and when you do that, you have to include all the other players pulled for that season. It's not possible to isolate the cost of an individual trainee.

I did roughly. As he wasn't in the junior squad long, his direct costs would have been pretty low. On that basis you'll get some junior players who are heavy losses and others big wins.

Another reason why sometimes hanging onto 30 week juniors isn't worth it.

I think adaca is missing the point though, that if I can skew a stat to go against wdp I will :P

It's easier just to say a maxed out youth system is going to cost you £485200 for the coach and £234,000 for 30 spaces, for a total of £719,200 a season. Then divide by the number of players you got for that season.
