really, I went to look, it's been ten years since the last medal, and I remember well who had won the gold medal

Just got home and watched the match without knowing the score. Tricky start and they played one of those deep defences to try and trick you. I felt by the end we fully deserved the win and I think you have done absolutely brilliantly! Congratulations Triglio, really well deserved. I even punched the air when that 3rd goal went in lol

18th in ranking surely might be close to top 15 now?

They were good, there's definitely room for improvement, but it's impossible to predict everything the opponent can do, today they put us in difficulty, but we came out victorious, I started screaming at the third goal, I looked like a child :)

Let's see, there's still a way to get to 15th place, now I'm focused on the world championship, if we continue like this we'll climb the rankings even further

Next round you will be underdog again but who is going to want to face you? I really would have liked to see the Poland game without that early red card to get a true reflection of what the game would have looked like.

Im happy to play a re-match in the final ;-) Brasil first though, honestly don't feel like winning this game, had tactics prepared yesterday but fresh injuries ruined those plans

Croatia in 17th lost badly
Switzerland in 16th lost
Hungary in 15th won (and how the hell are they 15th?)
Greece in 14th lost badly
Moldova in 13th lost badly
Spain in 12th lost

Most of those results work in our favour but we won't gain a lot from Azerbaijan and there's still a decent gap. Maybe next week.

Surely your squad allows for a direct replacement?

Yes and no... depends. I won't go into details since it's before the game, but the pool of top players for position is not infinite and when you get some players injured, some without form, some with terrible teamwork after transfer it's better to change the tactics than to use player #x for that position because he is quite off the top for the position

The red card penalized us, but we have to admit that it's a great team, with a great manager, they were better, there's nothing wrong with that, next time I'll try to prepare the match better
