I'm confused. Isn't it still financially beneficial to promote to the Prem and lose?
Most seem to think not, which I find a bit odd. I think as long as you're not sacrificing your finances by stretching your team beyond it's limits, eventually it pays off.
Personally I think Ive hit the limit of what I can do with Level 2 finances and my approach now is the same as when I came up from 3. Go up, make money, probably relegate, repeat. I think at the 3rd attempt I should probably be strong enough not to finish in the bottom 3.

Personally speaking I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level, even when I first got to the Prem I knew I couldn’t win anything but it’s always better to fight against better sides than win easily in a weak division.
Exactly. Id rather try to compete and fail than play it safe in 2, as long as Im not screwing my club longterm by abandoning training or overspending.
2-2 draw against Inter. Dominated game but decisive lack of finishing.
My hypothesis is that the way the game engine changed the fan mood and fanclub calculation getting promoted and doing badly is worse than repeatedly missing on promotion and doing well, which is silly.
If the new international cup generates revenues might help swing the balance for the weaker prem teams.
But I still wanted to play at the top level and sacrificed training the other season to get there..

Oops was still setting my lineup at kick off…wrong keeper in the nets….
Aaand I lost 4-0 with a (rare) first team

Won 3-2 away at Squeezers. Strikers, again, could have done better with the chances they had but a good result against a tough team.

Eudaimonia FC - Kendal FC 9:1
Prioritised training, got my formation completely wrong, it wasn't going well at half time. Thankfully my strikers woke up in the 2nd half.

Comfortable 5-1 win against a weaker Linkin' Park. Top 5 teams all won.
