Not sure how this will go, might abandon it after a week if it's not worth the work.
So the idea is simple, any new players pulled within the last week (that qualify) or any old players (who didn't but now do) that are added to the database will be posted here every Thursday or Friday. I've had rules for who gets added to the database for a while and they are
Anyone 16 or 17
Anyone 18 with a value over 30k (rising to 40k in the 2nd half of the season)
Anyone 19 with a value over 40k (rising to 50k in the 2nd half of the season)
Anyone 20 with a value over 60k (rising to 70k in the 2nd half of the season)
Anyone 21 with a value over 100k
Right, I should explain the graph because there are 2 formulas as work.
In the purple and yellow is a weighted formula for calculating player positions. It's certainly not perfect and has some difficulty distinguishing between defenders, midfielders and wingers but as a rule it's generally correct. Every player is marked out of 100 for their position.
In the green and yellow is the unweighted formula. This is purely a % for the relevant sumskills and it doesn't account for bad distribution. For example the max sumskills a striker can achieve is 54, so a striker with a sumskill of 27 would be on 50%. It's essentially a progress mark.
As a note, the 16 and 17 year olds aren't included this week as I'd already folded them into the database before I made this.

I'm going to start using this Marks Out Of 100 system everywhere because I think it helps to have a reference point for targets. It's all very well having a 50 rated striker but it's useless information in isolation.

Sounds fun, but the criteria is very, very low. Surely it will include many useless players?
It's intentionally low because form can decimate a players value. It's more work for me but I'd rather do it than miss someone.
Fair enough, i'm sure you'll get the balance right, but even at lowest form, still seems pretty low imo.
Ideally it'd be done by skill level, but I'd have to actually add everyone to the database first to calculate that, which would be self defeating. Doing it by value is the simplest and quickest way of editing who gets added. There are plenty who won't get in but they filter out fairly quickly as they get older.
