Subject: Season 74
I'm looking to finish 3rd again ideally. Not ready for the Prem for sure. I might prioritise the cup and maybe even the International thing. But I remembered you kinda need bigger squads.
Ah well. Just hoping to get a nice new trainee as so e of mine are getting old now.
Nobody decent got promoted in to our division, and everyone who faced a relegation playoff won.

My stadium is a bit bigger, and I have some funds for another older player. Need to offload some of these 37yo's too :/
My level of the International Cup is basically littered with 80+ ratings……if I make it out of the group I’ll be happy. Also I’m not sure what to expect after the teams last season were relegated and promoted if that makes sense?
As for the league you laugh at me but look at my ratings compared to Elmstead and RTS, I even had ratings lower than Padstow, Timisoara and maybe one or 2 others without looking. My last 2 titles really have been unexpected bonuses in my eyes.

It's going to take some time for the international cup to level out.
Have they said what financial incentives there will be to do well in it? If you are wanting more games then in theory you would just relegate to levels below where your side should be so you have a higher chance of reaching the knockout stage.

Well it depends
Lower league = easier to qualify, get more games & get rewards (and then you get promoted anyway for next season)
At the same time lower league = worse opponents & tickets per game + possible worse pitches & higher injury chance

I don't have a clue tbh. I will probably have a frustrating season and very soon regret being in the Premier. But I didn't have too much of a choice, I was literally pushed out of my comfy place in Division 2. Che sara sara...

I'm not selling anything here, I honestly don't know at this point what was the most profitable choice because so far there's no info about the amount and number for rewards (for reaching final, 1/2 etc.)
It also mostly depends on the Div that team x had as starting + the level / potential of such team
If someone started in Div 2 then probably going down to Div 3 to then be able to play Div 3 & go far might've been a better choice than staying in Div 2 / promoting to Div 1 if said team x won't be able to compete in Div 2 / Div 1 as well as in Div 3 due to lower quality (the opponent difference between 1-3 shouldn't be incredibly big in terms of fanclub I would assume). So in such case yeah, dropping down might've been most favourable.
On the other hand if team Y started in Div 5 and dropped to Div 6 while quality-wise it would be able to compete in Div 5 or even 4 then dropping to 6 would be a bad decision (it will be made up of teams with lowest fanclub, the tickets will much lower, the pitches will be much worse = higher injury chance)
Personally I will probably just use it as 6 free training weeks when I don't have to use youths in league / national cup as much as before since my team is bad (out of group in Div 5, but not good enough to go higher) and will be bad for next 4 seasons at least. Would prefer not to drop down to Div 6 because of ticket/pitch reasons but that will depend on who I get in group and how the league schedule looks like. Getting 3rd is enough to stay so high hopes.
