Subject: Coach salaries

2005-09-20 15:17:01
Btw he's way too expensive for a brilliant coach as well... The cheapest possible for a brilliant coach is a salary of 26000 euro, so that would be about 20000 pounds.
2005-09-20 15:17:33
Yoink ! so the overriding message here is sell sell sell !
2005-09-20 15:17:43
Probably the GK bit is pushing up the price, as GK coaches are more expensive.

ok, so he's been shown the door. how about this guy ? I hear he's the fastest milkman in the west.

Ernie Foster, age: 49,
wage: 19 440 £
club: NorwichCityNil, country: England
brilliant coach

Training effectiveness:
incredible of stamina, incredible of keeper
unearthly of pace, outstanding of defender
solid of technique, unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing, unearthly of striker
2005-09-20 15:21:30
Better - but I still think you are mad paying that sort of money for a coach.
2005-09-20 15:21:45
If you can afford him, he's perfect.
2005-09-20 15:22:25
I can't afford him, but I'll make short term sacrifices to see if there are long term benefits.
2005-09-20 15:29:46
one more question then I'll leave you all be. I'm training defending, I also have a formidable coach who is unearthly of defender, havent finished my defender "training cycle" yet, is it silly to have a brilliant coach in charge of the youth team in the meantime ?
2005-09-20 15:31:41
I wouldn't say so. He helps youths iprove by all accounts. And they get you cash!

For your coach, it might be worth putting goalkeeping coaching skill down as low as possible in the requirements, unless you want it there for some reason.
2005-09-20 15:35:19
nah, no reason. i'm just an idiot who selected brilliant for everything. doesnt take a degree in rocket science to get a good coach in this game, just a fuzzy grasp of economics :)
2005-09-20 15:36:27
I liked the old system personally :).
2005-09-20 15:41:34
less stressful. doing that just cost me 40k. :S...

Harold Herbert, age: 38,
wage: 5 895 £
club: St. Albans City FC, country: England
very good coach

Training effectiveness:
formidable of stamina, unsatisfactory of keeper
formidable of pace, unearthly of defender
formidable of technique, tragic of playmaker
adequate of passing, outstanding of striker

Reading this made me realise how rubbish my coach was. Just changed to him so hopefully some nice random pops coming my way :)
2005-09-20 16:56:14
I wouldnt worry if I were you, I'll be bankrupt in a week, so there's only Pompey and Wolves to worry about :)
2005-09-20 17:00:46
Hehe what possesed(sp?) you to get that monster as your youth coach. My youth coach costs me £3600 a week. 1 week of your coaches wages would be about 5 weeks of mine!
2005-09-20 17:03:30
for a brief moment this afternoon I had a coach who cost twice that. I'm currently gambling on the brilliant coach giving me top quality youth pulls, while my formidable coach with unearthly defender concentrates on bringing the current crop up to saleable value.
