Subject: Anyone here hables espanol ?

2007-11-15 16:12:56
I'm doing a website for my company which involves translations into other languages. Is there anyone in here that :

a) speaks spanish
b) would be willing to translate about 30 motoring related terms into spanish ?

I'd use babelfish, but I have a feeling that it will make me look like a twunt in the long run.

Use babelfish and compare to what an actual spaniard (like ViLLa07) thinks of the terms.

Is too much you need to translate?

not much, about 38 words or sentances. We have a remarkably simple service for a company that employs 3 IT staff.

I fear that such a tactic might be a license to print obscenities.

well if you like, send to my mail jagd_ve@yahoo.es

We've just had to translate one of our client's sites into Spanish, using a translation company, which they are paying for. I'll have a word with the dudes and see if we would wangle some translation in on the down low.

I'm sure they won't notice that motoring lingo has nothing to do with travel.

Clarkson would argue that motoring was travel!

Just say it's for advertising!

That's a very kind offer.

However, the boss had a word, says he knows some Spanish speaking dismantlers who will look at it during beta testing for us. The ultimate aim is to make this form in every major language. It's a job I suppose.

sí, puedo hablar español bien

in English:
Yes, I can speak spanish well
2007-11-15 23:03:42
I am guessing, ken, you can't.
