Anyone been watching The Grand Slam Of Darts?I must say Scholten has been very awesome so far and hes on first tonight.Hes my player of the tournament so far although ive been very impressed with Kevin McDine. He just dont seem to be bothered about the occasion at all and has a lovely smooth throwing action.Starts now on ITV4!!!!

For some reason i absolutely love darts. I think it's the commentary. I love commentators, and have always wanted to be one. I just love the emphasis on everything said and the mad names. Shame i have such a crap voice!

I haven't really kept up to speed with darts recently. Raymond Barnaveld is my favourite player purely because of his ridiculous name, is he still kicking about?

Does anybody remember Colin Monk? He pulls a hilarious face when he plays darts.

"yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah, and that's the first leg to Raymond Barnaveld".

Saw Andy Fordham on telly the other day.

He looks.... ill.

Is it the same competition?
2007-11-20 18:52:56
The Viking certainly is a sick man (as in ill).

He throws with some phat darts too (as in fat).

If it wasn't for the BBC website saying that it was him, I would have thought it was just a random darts player. Looks like a completely different person.

I saw him in his boozer the other day. The Cutty Sark in Thamesmead if you are in the area. He did look poorly but is apparently on the mend. His lungs were crook or something.

He was sick, although he is sick, or was; and is certainly sick with arrows as opposed to being sick with the arrows of course.

Apparently he had about 18 litres of fluid drained from his lungs, and had 2 strokes.

Quite lucky to still be around after that.

Some diet that!

18kg gone just like that! Not surprising he was looking a bit ashen. Mind you, he was working hard on getting fluid back on board though. Bleating something about antibiotics as he tanked through a few jars.

There's a heck of a lot of darts around at the minute, every channel seems to have a darts competition on.

On the beeb, they've been showing some fans with really scary mullets. I've decided not to get my hair cut on the basis that it doesnt look that bad yet.

I hit a 157 out tonight, and I don't have mullet ;)
2007-11-21 09:44:13
You soon will scoring like that.
2007-11-21 10:31:27
If I practiced long enough to get a 157 out, I'd have hair down to my ankles.
2007-11-21 10:50:56
So a really long mullet then...
2007-11-21 10:52:54
Having a mullet only gives you power if it is a power mullet. 2 completely different things.

I don't really practice much as it is inanely boring on your own.

Just play tues nights and maybe have a few games on another night. Ton+ finishes are not that common for me but that is the second time I've done that finish in a league match :)

Is darts a sport?
