I have a laptop issue.

The other day it would not switch on. I removed the battery, and power chord, left it 30 seconds and plugged all in and hey-presto...Mended!

Now it's died again (am using my work PC at present) and I cannot get it to switch on. The lights come on telling me I'm charging its battery, but nothing...zippo.

Any suggestions?

Take the battery out and power it only with the power lead. That's what I do with mine (mainly as I use it instead of a behemouth computer), saves the battery too that way.

I tried every combination.

Just when I thought it was dead, it lived again.

very odd.

I guess you may have some mother board or supply unit problems.

Sounds like a dry solder joint possibly, has it taken a knock?
