Looks like I'll come to study in England next year. I've chosen Sheffield university, is it a good choice? [=

Well I love Sheffield. It is a grimy, dirty, hard done by, neglected and forgotten city. They are working quickly to try to regenerate it and it is going well in my opinion.

What makes it great are the good Yorkshire folk, truly brilliant people.

Agreed, I spent 3 years there its a great city.

The locals are great and most actually liked us being around.

What you studing?

It should be Economics with Econometrics.

Which bit will you prefer?

well, Econometrics is more mathematical science (I dont like maths /:), and thats the reason why I've decided to try to transfer, as I am currently studying econometrics at Vilnius university. So i think it would be Economics [=

The economics department is really near all the engineering departments. Its quite a cool area with a massive old church. Turns into the red light district after about 11pm.

Where are you planning on living, halls or flats?

Sheffield has some excellent venues.

May I suggest Dempseys Bar. It is truly wonderful. I spent many a night there in my youth.

£1 = 2*25mls of vodka from a bottle with no label + some horrible ironbrew stuff.

Repeat until you fall down + stick to the vomit covered floor.

Next morning go to lectures and just past the mappin building towards town is a little butty shop under an office. They do the most amazing fried food!
