The funniest thing is, that they say that England fans underestimated Croatia... After their won in Wembley, absolutely every croatian in sokker said something lik "England is weak, no wonder we won" and after the WC draw "Heh, we will beat them again, no problem". And come on, who the hell would make a video like that...

To me, it seems that the croatians are underestimating England this time. They may have won in the Euro qualifiers, but it doesn't mean, that it's going to repeat in the WC qualifiers.

Exactly - with a decent coach using a formation that the players feel comfortable with, the same players could turn that result around quite comfortably, let alone the squad we could have played if everyone was fit.

Quoi?? I've never blamed Croatia for our failure to qualify. England were useless in this campaign and the fault must be laid at the door of both players and manager. Those videos and all the fuss that you are making over our defeat shows how highly you rate England as a team. It is an achievement, and one you should rightly be proud of, but you should show some decorum, as i'm sure we would have done if it were the other way round. I would say that your achievement is overshadowed by more surprising results in the qualifying campaign: e.g. Northern Ireland beating Spain, Scotland beating France, Belarus beating Netherland etc.

And just for your interest, Owen Hargreaves qualified to play for England through his English parents, not through residence, as he has not lived in England before moving to United. I was talking about players qualifying through residence, not through the more normal qualifiers of birth or parentage.

As an aside, I agree that Modric will come to the Premiership. Although if he does go to Chelsea it will be a waste, as i've heard that he's a talent and sitting on the bench is never good for a player (look at many of the chelsea players who were bought and then sold for less than half what they paid for them!). For his sake he should go to Arsenal, United or any team that will be willing to give youth a chance.

Modric - I'd rather sign for Fulham / West Ham and get first team games than sit around and pick up a pay-cheque at chelsea.

we lost to Croatia oh well. but theres no need to say we are not going to qualify for the world cup who knows whats going to happen.
