Very sad how you keep seem to be hearing of footballers dying on the pitch. You have to wonder what is going wrong.

I used to watch him play for the Mighty Owls regularly - and call him a lazy shite a lot - still he was a good player and his poise and marshalling skills will be missed in the beautiful game.

My thoughts are with Eileen, his wife and their small children.

His Nephew was playing in the same match as him for Motherwell I think it was against Dundee Utd, he had to be withdrawn straight away. What a horrible thing to happen, its very sad, and everytime I hear the words "Our thoughts go to his wife and Young Children"it always makes it 100 times worse for me..... :(

Got to disagree, fm. Who wouldn't want to go doing what they loved most? I'm happy for him.

Fair point. Not as sad for him as it is his young children :o(

If you were found dead, box of tissues, and copy of "Iron Lady" magazine next to you, I'd be sad.
