I don't think my hard disk is full, my computer is still fairly quick, I will have a check up though.

Sometimes computers can be so frustrating!

Totally, half the time it is the ridiculous error messages that take you off tangent when trying to fix it.
Try this:

Close any/all instances of MSPaint. Then start/run regedit, navigate to this key:
> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt Version\Applets\Paint
> Highlight (click on) that key and delete it.
> Close the registry editor
> re-open Paint.

Does he still do that if Alex and Petrov are playing?

No, if they're playing, it's the next option down.

Do you mean delete the Paint Folder in that part?

Sorry had to leave to pick up my son from school, back now though. ;)

Thanks.

Yeah, if you've navigated to the Paint folder, right-click and delete it. Then close regedit and open Paint.

Thanks very much for that I am really grateful. :)

I'm sure that advising registry edits to computer novices is not the safest option.

Edit: Unless it fixes things, in which case carry on... Um...

I totally agree. However, if he followed my instructions then worst case scenario Paint was not going to work, which wasn't too much of a change! ;o)

But to reiterate, don't mess with the registry! :o)
