It is the one where you're just the player.
Where did you hear about TM?
Where did you hear about TM?
someone mentioned it on battrick so I have a team
although the training and stuff look good the game is just text generated I think
This is fine for a simple HT type game but a bit shite compared to a live game for a multiskill system like SK or TM

I think that's what a lot of people probably want. Something pretty that's simple.
Some stars on here have led/participated in a fantastic recruitment drive, but the dividends just aren't there.

Can I have one that's also a good cook and a whore in the bedroom?

I have played TrophyManager and its all "eye-candy". The match engine is all random, if you lose you dont know why, if you win you dont know why either. Whoever has more luck win his matches. In other words, its very random.
There are many skills for my taste and the transfer system is bull. I dont like the waiting to contract a coach either. Its ridiculous.
Also, the fact that there are 100k users its because TM deletes your teams after many months of un-activity, instead sokker deletes user with only 50 days. So dont be fooled by the design and the numbers. Sokker is 1000 times better than TM.

As a former TM player, I agree that Sokker is MILES better.
Already 172k players there. This game grows fast compared to sokker.
TM has
1) a noxious atmosphere with people getting banned for criticising the devs too strongly, and some people getting banned for tactics like selling up all their squads and playing with youths (which are not explicitely forbidden in the rules). The main dev guy just runs around the forums insulting people and everyone else tries their hardest to pretend everything is hunky-dory.
2) a match engine no one has properly understood
3) a very unbalanced financial system in which your chances of success are directly proportional to the time you've spent in the game. It's nigh on impossible for new teams to catch up to the old ones.
It does however have some redeeming features:
1) There is always something to do in TM, always some deadline or event to look forward to
2) The training system is pretty decent.
3) Generally, you can sign up in any country, so choose whichever country you like best! There are some exceptions however.
To sum up, TM is a great game to play if you are the sort of guy who logs in 3 times a week and doesn't care too much about results. But if you start caring about how well you do, posting on the forums, and getting into it generally, you will just end up horribly exasperated with everything.

The only good thing about TM is its user interface... the rest of it is utter poop...
