England just won in the WC qualifiers against Sweden 1-0. pleased with that result. We top the group after 2 games, even though some have played 3 games, and qualification to the WC looks a good possibility.

yeah i play it, and it looks like we're in the same league, both on that and this.
my team's called deportivo la cotalent on that though.
i've only been playing it a few weeks, but don't really think it's anywhere near as good as sokker.

I have just got a team today any pointers? Im thinking i might train forwards how many players should i train?

You can train as many as you like!

First things first, set your ticket price to 11e, and set your merchandising investment to 20k a week, merchandising income is a huge thing to do at the beginning

1. Get an expert sporting headmaster. This is so that you can renew your best players contracts, with a higher termination clause(see notes at the bottom), so as to not lose them cheaply once your 2 week protection period is over.

2. Get yourself some trainees. really you should be looking for sufficient/sufficient improvables, regular/regular talented's or weak/weak cracks!(or skills to the same value ie crack regular/poors). As long as the players aren't over 30 you should be ok, you will probably have 1, maybe 2 readily trainable players anyway. Get 5/6 trainees in total, spending no more than 250k on getting them. If you can get better for the money do so, or if you can get said trainees for cheaper do so aswell. Strikers will need 3 skills(shooting/disas/dribble), so regular/regular/regular improvables for them may be acceptable. If you can pick up a sufficient+ keeper cheaply do so. Nice little trick aswell here: Go to Transfers->Transfers list->and put in minimum age 18, and select only youth players. You can buy these players for free, and some are quite good prospects!

3. Once, and only once you have your trainess, hire 4 expert coaches(1 will be your assistant). Once your coaches have been hired, go to training, and change from general training, to personal training, then select your trainees, and select their training(playmaking for mids, defending for defenders, and attack for strikers). If you bought a keeper trainee, you will want an expert GK coach, in place of one of the standard expert coach.

4. Set a line-up. Gk's need Goalkeeping. Defs need Defender and tackling, mids need creativity and passing, and atts need shooting, disassociation and dribble. Control atm is a bonus, and any players with it will help. I'd stick with a standard 4-4-2 atm.

5. Once you've played a couple of matches, switching players around a little, see where you are struggling, and look on the auction to see if anyone better than your players are selling cheaply.

6. Finances, this should be in about 4 weeks time, you should after playing 2 home matches, have hopefully made at least 50k from them each, and hopefully merchandising is helping your finances stay steady. You will hopefully still have around 200k+ left at this point, (while you can buy players in and out, I wouldn't buy players for more than 50k, prices are unstable atm, and you may spend money you can't recoup.) If you are making a 2 weekly profit, you can hire an extra expert coach, to increase training effectiveness. Hopefully at this point, your team is getting a few results, and you aren't losing too much money bi-weekly. At this point your team should be well set up, and steady, merchandinsing can be increased to 25k/week investment, and ticket prices can be increased to 12e, you should have a grip of the game, and questions will be thoughtful, rather than random.

*Notes: Contract structure: your players start off with wages of 500, and termination clauses of 50,000, keep this ratio, it's quite a good one, though with your starter players, they can be improved. If you improve a players termination clause to 100,000, i'd suggest a wage of 900, 150,000 and 1300, and 200,000 and 1700-1800, and so on.
DO NOT have more coaches than players being trained.
IF you are loosing money, it will probably be wages that are too high, either coaches, or players. due to poor contract structure. Sack 1 expert coach to help.
