Subject: Ashes 2009
I know its a long way off, but im seriously considering a trip to come and watch a test or two next year.
As a person who is crazy about cricket, any recommendations on which test would be best to go to (Grounds wise)
Also, I'll be traveling Europe on a Contiki Tour, so I've got to start in England, and that leaves from London so I assume that the Oval or the Lords test matches would be the best to go to?
Also... Aussies are going to retain them :P

Usually the Lords test is first and the Oval 5th. Usually these are a good laugh but they are the only 2 grounds I have attended
I've never been to the ground, but there are some decent pubs around by Headingley in Leeds, no idea if it's been picked as a venue though.
as far as im aware... there is 2 in London, 1 in leeds, 1 in Cardiff and i cant think of the other one...
I'm planning my trip for about september/october 09... might be a bit late... might have to go july/august instead

Cardiff ? Now that is political correctness gone mad.
ECB and Wales CB signed some sort of contract... afaik it was in one of the Australian news papers... i cant find much info on the ashes yet unfortunately as its still ages away
Edit: All i can find is the following - I was an english paper
2009
vs Australia - Brit Oval, Cardiff, Edgbaston, Headingley, Lord's

they have developed the ground in order to get test matches, same thing happened at the rose bowl
Well im over here now - Ashes just starting! Come on Australia! =)
Not a great start for England, Collie and Pieterson need to settle after lunch and get a good partnership going
'ang on, don't test matches start on thursdays ?
fiddling with centuries of tradition, they are...

And the first one is at Lord's' (never sure where to put that apostrophe). Ergo this can't be a test (if the aussies win).

Pieterson is so frustrating.....so much talent, but always out to silly shots. :(
We are going along ok though, I love the Ashes. ;)
