I have been reliably informed by PlusNet's online tech support (duh!) that even the though it has been kaput for a week it has been escalated to BT who will look into it at 7:03 on Monday morning. That is precise!

I have also requested a move to BE as they can offer me a 17megabit rate for my address so that means I will soon have a large collection of downloaded films to watch.

Yep. A few months ago and the contention rate has already gone through the roof. I was getting about 3Mbs on proper PlusNet and now BT are in charge it is about 1.1!

Time for a change I think.

Bt ain't that bad. you generally get pretty reliable service and for online gaming they tend to top the ping charts too. Get Be unlimited though if you can, can't knock that up to 24 meg broadband like :)

I'm with BT and live outside of a cable area...we have had all sorts of problems with their customer service and trying to sort out our line. They have come and looked at it several times and for some reason don't seem to get a very decent speed.

Their callouts were pretty sharp though, i just think we seem to have a problem with our internal line or exchange which doesn't seem to have been diagnosed.

I'm with Tiscali, mostly because I pay £14.99 a month for BB AND line rental, far better than paying BT for line rental then paying another £12.99 for the BB.
