Subject: Mario Kart Wii.

I'm with Tiscali, mostly because I pay £14.99 a month for BB AND line rental, far better than paying BT for line rental then paying another £12.99 for the BB.

I now have PlusNet grovelling, it is most unseemly. The didn't do ken all to sort out the fact I had no internet so when I put in a leave request they get all sucky-up!

I have told them it isn't suitable behaviour and they should say a polite goodbye to a loyal customer. They don't like it much...

Be unlimited, static IP is on it's way! Anyone recommend an ADSL2+ wireless router?

If you fancy a tasty one, get this one.

Belkin N1 Vision

Or the slightly more basic version of that one here

Newest wireless protocol out there so if you go down that route is 300MB

PS @Gibbage...i pay line rental with bt because i have a phone and then have broadband...tiscali are consistently slated by most reviews also :)

I think most companies get heavily slated if you know where to look!

£14.99 all in vs
£12.99 BB + £10.50 line rental

I know where I am going. Although I don't really do a lot on it other than look at websites, don't do a great deal of downloading or gaming online so probably never really pushed it.

That is one ugly thing!

Also why does it say "image for illustration only"? Isn't that the point?

It does look a good performer though, ta, I will bear it in mind. How can I tell what it's range is without buying it and seeing if I can get into the garden with the lappy?

I believe the new wireless technology can go over 400m in open space so house to garden shouldn't be a problem.

Lucky I don't have a mansion then! ;-)
I've got a question regarding Mario Kart...you obviously have this wheel thing that you can use, and you can use the normal Wii remotes, but if you use the remote do you have to 'turn it' as it was a wheel?

If so that completely sucks! I used to always laugh at people that tried to turn controllers to go round corners on racing games, now they have appealed to the masses!
I think if you use the wii remote, then it'll be like the cow racing game on wii play, you turn it horizontal to the screen and steer it.

So yes, you're going to end up looking like a total plum :). I'd get the wheel for 8 quid instead.

You can use it with the nunchuck and it is great.

@ncn, you going to add me as a friend so we can have some races?

i thought i had. you are jack ? I will be listed as Grandma. It's an in-joke that me and the wife are playing on the entire Nintendo Wi Fi Channel.

ok, when did you do that? I looked on sat and it still had you as ?. will look again today and see.

I have just got Mario Kart and it is nearly as fun as laughing at ncn!
Using the wheel would be worse in my opinion! Ah well, we've got it now too, so i'll be on to this at some point.

Did anybody play the Gamecube version? I pwned at that; unlocked some of the Nintendo staff ghosts and beat those too.

I quite liked the DS and GBA one myself. Thought the GameCube one was quite poor.

Teeny screens! No, i didn't think it was too great either, but then all of the Mario Kart's are highly addictive, and the GC one was no different.
