it is the fact that two apparently educatated and apparently reasonably intelligent people can belive these things that scares me. next up - why all black people steal!

Exactly, there are cases where people choose to be gay, and others that simply are gay.

I don't care whether people are gay or not, it's just that people that are camp piss me off. (also the camp description was a little misleading, the camp people acting "gay", the "gay" was based on a stereotypical view of how gay people act, rather than them actually being gay, and how actual gay people act)

Also, I do believe people are born gay, same as some people believe they are born into the wrong body,

i think it takes more than TV and sisters to define a person's sexuallity. people are not born gay or straight but there is a chemical process to attraction which is influenced by your genetic makeup. then there are may outside factors which influence the way we percieve potential partners. you also have to take into consideration what a person is looking for in a relationship.
i would imagine that even nowadays being gay is not exactly easy, nor is coming out to your family, etc. there are people who are gay in countires where it is illegal, even punishable by death, and i'm guessing its not because of TV or a desire to be cool.

ok, sorry - should not have lumped you in with the other statement. i agree on campness to a degree. i don't believe peoples seuality should define them. i would be equally pissed off (and in fact am at times) with people who go on and on about how manly and hetro they are. at then end of the day who you Ken is up to you, and oes not need to be shared with the world.

no. if you spout that sort of drivel in a public forum then you then people should challenge it. i repeat, there are people who are willing to die for their right to be homosexuals, and people imprisoned, and outcast, and beaten, and thrown out of families, etc... think about it. and then read about it. and then think about it some more. and then talk to people about their sexuality and what it means to them and why they feel they are as they are. and then think about it some more. and then... maybe.... when you have really really though about it... you will be able to have an informed opinion rather than sounding off like an idiot. which currently you are.
