(I apologise for the delayed reply... priorities!)
@Imran - As one dodgy foreigner to another, you can hide behind your Limey passport until kingdom come but you're still only a pretender and one that prefers his female behemoths - Allah willing - probably covered in 3000 square meters of cloth - head-to-toe. You say "Too-mar-toe" and I say £3.99 for an Abbreviated Oxford dictionary.
... maybe another £1.99 for a self-help 'how to improve your sense-of-humour' booklet.
@jaize - I read more interesting stuff than your posts here - the last time I imagined the contents of my hanky formed a word. And BTW, running around calling people "teenagers" makes me wonder what is it you're trying to hide...
...nope, I thought about it... not even a rat's arse ;-)

I laughed at first then realised it was a sympathy laugh and you don't deserve it...

A very valid point. It isn't a logo, it is a picture. A logo is an emblemic symbol often accompanied by a logotype that forms a body's trademark or branding.
This is a serious question ;)
So when does a logo become a logo? Do it need someone to verify it as a logo? (i.e the public)
Well my main point is. If i see the Kellogg's logo, i know its a logo! but when did it become a logo? If i see that symbol on a piece of paper before i personally knew it was logo, to me it is a symbol.

It is a question for much debate as a logo has it's power in how many people know what it is representative of.
Nowadays it is more clear cut. Once a trade mark has been registered, the logo, the logotype, colour and associated symbols all work towards making the logo's presence in the public realm.
Basically, you are right, a logo becomes a sucessful one once you can identify the company/product just from the logo itself. In this age of media that becomes a surpringly speedy affair.

Oh right cheers.
I noticed on most cereal packs they have a symbol saying they have been registered by the queen. Well not just the queen H.M something

Doesn't that mean that they're endorsed by the royal family e.g. the queen eats shreddies, so shreddies then get to add a crest to their boxes?
That is the symbol of Royal Appointment. Basically it put on products officially sponsored by the royal family. Basically, if you have it on your cereal, you eat the same stuff as the Queen, possibly...
Have you ever wondered what life would be like if you got enough oxygen at birth?
