well, if no-one else bids, i guess the lowest bidder wins ?

I think it works a bit like a lottery...you can get things cheap, but thousands of people spend money for nothing.
ah yes i've seen something like this before. he got the console for 70p, but you have to buy your bids as well.
like a tenner to buy 1 bid. then you put it on, and if someone bids over you, then you've lost your tenner and have to buy another bid
actually just seen his 3 bids came to £1.50, don't know why it was so cheap then.

Each bid costs 50p, you only pay the end price if you're the winner i think. Each bid makes the price go up 7p, and if you bid in the last 10 seconds, another 10 seconds are added.
The site do brilliantly off it...a £600 TV went for about £150. If you assume the auction begain at £0 that's about 2142 bids x 50p per bid = £1071.42 + £150 sale price + delivery etc...
