From what I have seen Ballack looks twice the player he is for Chelsea.....for a big man he has great touch, control and quick feet. He can head the ball brilliantly too, even if it was a slight foul.

I was watching Heroes, but seen the replay and it was a clear foul going by the slow-mo. Did the second half match the first? Not surprised by the result, and quite glad to see the Portuguese out once again. If Bosingwa defends like that at Chelsea (for the opener) then the Prem will be laughing.

I didn't see all of the 2nd half, there were lots of dives here and there.....suprise suprise.

Bosingwa is really quick, but yes he did not cover himself in defensive glory........but then again neither did Carvahlo.

Good game, but filled with defensive errors tbh.

With teams like germany you have a chance to win in the groups but the knockout stages are something else, portugal is a bit like spain, do well at the beginning of the tornament and fade away, germany is like italy slow starters but in the final or very close most of the times...

if italy can see spain off i predict a boring germany-italy final, holland will lose maybe even with russia

Russia and Crotia are definately the dark horses in these championships.

Italy have some injury problems at the moment don't they......

suspensions, we haven't got a fantastic team but somehow always manage to scrap trough...
