Not easily, but they won't care. The 35yo 'keeper in his first game in the competition is given the captain's armband for about 30 minutes, lets in a howler to put them out of the competition, makes the assist for the equaliser and then saves the final penalty.
That truly is a fairytale ending...i wonder if he plays against Germany now! (i know the other guy is still banned, but they have appealed).
The one thing i didn't like was the Turkish bloke celebrating with the finger to the mouth, "ssshh" gesture to the Croatia fans...i would have ran on and battered him.

Ok, let's face it. If you make a movie out of this tournament with Turkey as a main 'character' and show it to someone who haven't seen this EURO he will just say "c'mon man, that's a piece of...... It's just impossible to happen, Die Hard is more realistic than this."
You have to feel for croatia......by the way Modric looks a fantastic player, so gutted hes gone to Spurs. :(

Absolutely devastating for the poor guys...they have really shown a of determination, technique and panache on the ball that England can only dream of doing.
Modric does indeed look a fantastic acquisition for Spurs...he looks like the type of player that will have no problems settling down. How much did he cost?

£15m.........and well spent by the looks of it.
He would have looked so much better in the Claret and Blue. ;)

I'm afraid that he might be too weak physically for Prem. Still Rosicki does well...
Probably. I don't think Burnley have that kind of money though, do they?

I don't think he will be weak personally, he has already made the English NT midfield look ordinary when they played us at Wembley.
Ok, but there was non English ref on the field, so you had to play in the way that non-isled part of Europe does. In the Prem it won't be so soft. But still, we will see how it goes.

He had a good reason. The picture says it all.

Is that what Bilic did to the Turkish coach when Croatia scored? I doubt that. If so, what a twat, and i had respect for him.
You can be lucky in 1 game, not 3 out of 4.
C'mon borkos.. Match ends in 90 minutes. If other teams do not know this fact, what can we do? :))

I have a few things i need to get off my chest:
> that ITV commentator guy is very irritating and talkes gibberish...he kept saying certain things were lucky...he needs a Collins to look up that word...Arshavin's cross for that last goal was impeccable.
> what is with all the goal celebration "ssshhh" gestures...why can't they just celebrate a brilliant and important goal properly without being stuck up bar stewards?
> can the referees just make up the rules as they go along or what? correct me if i am wrong, but can the referee book a player when the ball is not in play or not? whether the ball crossed the line in my eyes is irrelevant, if the referee judged it to be a yellow, which he did (it shouldn't have been) then he should have shown the red. And if it has nothing to do with the ball going out of play, and he simply decided to change his mind, is that allowed? The commentators were saying "well done referee for rescinding the card", if that's the case, why don't we see this more often?
> i don't think i've seen anyone strike the ball quite so well and consistently for a long time than that Russian midfield bloke.
> Arshavin is an amazing talent. Probably world class?
> Guus Hiddink should be knighted or something.
There.
