Nope, Italy tend to play that "tournament" football we all hate but generally works...bit fed up of all the miserable-arsed pundits though, berating certain teams' style of play. Just because someone can attack the ball brilliantly doesn't mean they "deserve to win", just look at Portugal.
I thought some of the Italian defending/tackling was supreme today, and with Buffon between the sticks, it is no wonder teams find it hard to break them down. Yes, perhaps they were a little bit too negative in breaking down Spain's play that it gave them little option to make their own, but i think the Italian's should get more credit for their style of play.

I agree they were great defensively at times, but they had some lovely attacks when they brought someone up to help out toni..if they had done that more often....

we lost the signal out here just before germany's 2nd and got it back just after germany's 3rd :(
They played well tonight. I bet they play even better in the final before Germany crush their spirit with a relentlessly dour and fortunate 1:0 win.
