Junior Agogo has a blinding African cup of nations and leaves for an Egyptian club....
Sammy Clinghan is off to Norwich

We sign Rob Earnshaw for almost £3m after his dismal season in the Prem with Derby

This is horribly, nervously, like last time we got promoted, when we sold Kevin Campbell, Pierre van Twonktwonk went on striker and we had so few players Glyn Hodges made the midfield for our 1st game against Arsenal.

LOL well its not just Forest who are not spening much, my team West Ham have just let people go so far....not a single signing.

Forest should be aiming for survival this season imo, its a tough division the championship with some big teams, and also some big money now with the likes of Brum, QPR etc.

One final note is that there is still plenty of time before the season gets under way. ;)

Scaggeh was ranting at me about this yeasterday. I'm more optimistic as I reckon Calderwood must have a couple on the back burner and we're bound to have at least 3 new faces before the start of the season. As it stands I think our squad's alright for next season, but we're going to be fooked if we get any injuries. On the plus side, perhaps now Davies (injured most of last season), McCleary, Thornhill will get more games, and those last two look like decent young players.

Hmm.

It's not necessarily about money - so many players now go on frees, just that we're not seeing many in. I didn't attend any matches last season, so am on shakey ground here, but I'm not convinced our team displayed championship quality for much of last season...

Anyhow, will have to attend a game this season..... let me know if there are any hattrick get togethers. I'm struggling to get back into hattrick. meanies...

Based on last season, in terms of the Championship I'd say that our defence is unpredictable yet generally solid, midfield is mediocre and uninspiring with occasional flashes of being able to play, Tyson is ok up front, but when we play 4-3-3 with strikers playing as wingers (particularly Grant Holt) we look awful and I don't know why he (Calderwood) does it. Earnshaw should make a difference imo, as our worst quality last season was putting the ball away. That said the whole squad has a tendancy to back off when the opposition have the ball and let them run with it, so a psychotic hassling midfielder would do us wonders, I feel.
