yeah they may aswell give them the 7th spot but should really go through the motions for the camaras.

That was too easy, wasn't it?

Apparently some bloke who's the 40th richest man in Britain wants to buy Norwich. But he doesn't want to pay the full amount for them. Surely you could afford 56 million if you're worth 1.7 billion, wouldn't you think ?

You know I'd have thought the whole of Norwich would have cost more than that, is he looking to make you an independant country?

Also, I guess that by not paying any more than what he could do, is the reason he has £1.7b!

You do know you're in £20m of debt don't you?

Your board are just being greedy, they want him to pay the clubs value, plus the £20m of debt they find themselves in, plus a guaranteed £20m player investment.

They should be damn grateful anyone is interesting in buying the club, because without the chance of getting promoted, the clubs value would drop significantly.

They guys a Norwich fan, wants to plough up to £15m of his own money into buying players and they are seemingly trying to piss the guy off.

i wouldn't pay £56million for norwich no matter how much i had, he must really like mustard.

looks like the board is being arsey about this, i imagine the norwich board are somewhat of an old boys club if they are not welcoming this man in.

Apparently you have to guarantee you can handle the debt when you take over any business. They've reported the debt here as only 16 million, so that's a relief, I reckon he's probably good for the money :). But as he's said he wants full control, he has to make a formal offer to all shareholders. I think the sticking point is the price per share. The clubs shares are worth 16 million, he could in theory just buy all the shares, guarantor the 16 million debt, and then splash another 20 million on players as he announced in the press yesterday. Needless to say the message boards here are alive with **** off Delia comments :)

They do have very stringent requirements about who they let in, so I'd say you're right fujor :) . This fella is about the only human being alive who meets them :

He must be from Norfolk - check, although he now lives in Kent
Must support Norwich City - check, in fact he played for the youth team in the 50s
Must be considerably richer than Delia Smith - check

Even after all that, they're still haggling over the price.

greedy rich men and women inhabit every business so its no wonder they are holding out for as much as they can, who here would do any different? not many i bet.

what doesn't help is this mans finances are very clear, i dont know if he told the press how much he is worth but either way its kenned his bargaining position up big style so everyone will be on the lookout for some serious money because they know he can afford it. just like you said he could pay off everything and still afford 20mill in the transfers. it's not a good way to go about your business when everyone expects large sums of money

anyway havn't you lot been saying **** off Delia for a couple of years?? " lets be 'avin ya!" you'll be hearing about that for decades!

apparently he has made his money by getting extremely good deals when buying businesses, there must be a knack to it i guess, he's known as a "deal making junkie" whatever that is...

a fair amount of norwich fans have - i must admit to my jaw hitting the floor when i was watching the man city game. cooking sherry is a dangerous thing.

he can get a good price on crack & smack?

only on pop, so i'm told.

I was on my traavels yesterday when I saw Robert Earnshaw edging a copper-coloured humvee out of a t-junction near my house. He could barely see over the steering wheel.
