1. I havent seen many live games of top flight football, being a Kidderminster Harriers fan... but I saw Aston Villa a few times last season, once against Middlesbrough. And the best player I have seen play live is Stewart Downing!
It may sound strange, but you can only really appreciate his talent when you see him play live! He's so quick on the ball, and can turn anyone! He has an instinctive dribbling ability.

2. My favourite player... now that is an incredibly tough choice... I think I'm gonna go with Ronaldo (Brazilian Ronaldo, not Cristiano) when he was in his prime... closely followed by Ronaldinho

Downing is same type of player like Walcott, Lennon and Dyer was? I guess you're pretty gifted with this kind of mids :)

1. FM had Pearce for this one, but one of the best I've seen at the City Ground in recent years was van Hooijdonk. In our promotion season when we had him and Kev Campbell up front he seemed to score with every free-kick he took. I remember one match when he scored by purposely volleying the ball into the ground; bouncing it over their keeper, who was completely caught out. Clearly too good for Forest, but still needs to be put over Larry Lloyd's knee for a good spanking for being so naughty and going on strike. I'd like to give an honourable mention to Hugo Porfirio too, for being such a mentalist when he came to us on loan from Benfica. He was fast and skilful, quite lightweight, but his most endearing moments where when he ran back enthusiastically to help tackle back like some kind of man-terrier and put some of the most ridiculous tackles ever.
2. Pearce.
