They seem to think that being a vegetarian means that you don't eat horses.

As a result, I've been eating omelette after crepe after omellette, all with frites !

I have been to France when my veggie/hippy mates got "fish as that isn't an animal is it? What? It is? Oh. What about chicken?"

Anyway, horse tastes just fine.

Oh, and also, on the camp-site we had some weird receptionist who insisted that we could oinly have 2 clubs and 1 ball for playing mini-golf for the 3 of us. When we got to the course to play, there was no-one there. His reasoning behind this was that "he can't satisfy everyone". As I was his only customer, it seems that he failed to satisfy anyone. A bizarre country.

Famous French golfers anyone? I rest my case...

Yeah, no famous French golfers...just because one guy couldn't satisfy young prospects...he should be punished!

2 clubs is more than enough to mete out summary justice whilst reinforcing the modern-day image of the gallant Englishman abroad.
