i thought that was what you meant, but yano, thought you were funnier than that
I think Huntelaar would make it. His intelligence more than makes up for his lack of strength. He's a great positioner, he's always struggling and pulling with the defenders long before the cross comes in, which often gets him in the right position. And strength is something you can train quite quickly I think, take Sneijder for example. Same was said about him, but I think he's proven everyone wrong last season.
Huntelaar to Man U would be great as well by the way. Don't know which I'd prefer.

I hope Ricketts plays at right back as he was very good last season, from what I've read mendy is going to play def-mid
What about that Jo chap who City signed - do we reckon he's going to be any good next season?
I think Ricketts is going to play Left back and Mendy right back by the sound of things as Ricketts played left back a bit last season. I think if we can bring in a center back our defence will be looking pretty good.
We have sold both Zamora and paintsil to Fulham for what could be £7.3m...the world has gone mad!
I like Bobby's effort and he scored some great goals but hes wasn't worth that much.....

Lucky you aren't in charge there then! If someone is willing to pay an amount, then that is what he is worth.

All we will be doing this summer is sell players imo, which is weird as most of the squad were injured last season. So by all accounts trimming the squad will only mean we will struggle to fill the team this season if we have the same luck with injuries again. I think Curbishley is a good manager, but all of his big signings have been injury prone players and they are all staying........

I saw a report into injuries in footie clubs and apart from the fact that playing on cold, hard pitches in winter makes for more injuries (big surprise!) the key feature to the number of injuries was the quality of the training facilities and how similar they were in "feel" to the actual playing surface.
The other factor was that players that had been injured were a squillion times more likely to be injured the following season without radical treatment.
So, if your lads train on a cow field, you will get loads more injuries and worse, these will sustain into future seasons.
I think this just shows your concerns are very valid indeed. Don't shout at the telly too much when Curbs is scratching his head on MotD and saying that he has no idea why all the lads are in plaster...

Man city miss out on the hunt for ronaldinho as he signs for milan. Bit me a surprise to me,that one,as he looked odds on to join the alter
ronaldiniho would never come to england because it would be too tough for him. going to italy will be a breeze for him against the geriatric defences of serie A.

As a Premiership Club I would be very suprised if the training facilities are not fantastic, my son trains with Charlton every week and the training pitches up there are better than any pitches I have ever played on.
Unfortunately some players are just prone to injuries, and we have signed a large amount of them. lol

depends on whats available in the area. and how much investment they've put in.
i know that forest and leeds have great training facilities. not too much injuries from those teams either. Derby however train at the JJB soccer dome just across the way from the stadium . thats the artificial turf thats like carpet which is exhuasting to run on especially how its enclosed with no AC.

This includes weights and the like. AC Milan (remember them, the bunch of old guys) were trialling a weight training system a few years ago, and removing the collision-type injuries from the equation, they reduced the number of man days lost to injury to, not by, 10% of the previous year. I think Blackburn and maybe Bolton have since taken this weights system on board. Weight training in European football, and the UK in particular, is about 30 years behind other sports. Until we catch up in that respect (and nutrition, which is catching up more quickly because the results are more tangible; leaner athletes vs athletes that don't get injured as frequently), we'll never get the England team to where it should be, given the talent.
