Should the Jam go under Q, U, X or Z?

I've a mind to just make bands up. The Quixotics, the Unicorns, X ray Specs (although this has been mentioned and may well be real) and Zebra Stripe Soup.

Undertones ?

What about the idea to just use the bands names you have, and use the remaining letters to name your own band QUXZ? Or better yet - ZUQX!

I've got a couple of ideas for names, but obviously I need to run them by my future band mates first.

Salvation Air Force is narrowly top at the moment.

Why not call your band with the letter of whichever one you cannot fill in?

my friends years ago had a band called Quentins Fear & Loathing - 72monsta may remember them
and i lived with a bunch of hippies that had a band called Zing Bong Wang that were rubbish in a cool too much LSD kind of way and played obscure festivals at the start of the 90s.

Added Xiu xiu in, as I want modern bands rather than XTC or X ray spex. Not that I like any of those three, but these names are supposed to be indicative of what I want to play, rather than an absolute list.

Also, added links to all the bands and either my favourite song/video or the only video on you tube as appropriate. You know, for those that are dead old like 36 and stuff.

Wow a nice list of good bands :P heard only about few of them like Arctic Monkeys, Cribs, Strokes. I'd be grateful for more! :P

btw. where can I get this one from Arctic? Leave Before The Lights Come On.
