Subject: Croatia 1-4 England
Nope, but he's played 154 times for Arsenal, 57 for Chelsea, and 68 for England. That doesn't include reserve teams, age group teams and Crystal Palace. He can't use that as an excuse any more, and nor could I 270 odd times in.
Do you not feel that it's a bit harsh to judge him on a single pass after a career that has spanned those 280 or so games ?
I mean call him a lady-boy, fair enough, but knocking him for a single pass seems a tad unfair. Mind you, I can kind of expect it from an ever-vigilant air traffic controller I suppose...

let's be honest, when people earn over 100k a week they had better be damn near perfect at what they do!
besides, all we can do when discussing england is moan about how crap they played... if they played well for once we could wax lyrical on that instead. but they don't. because at international level they suck.

except when he is surfing Sokker / porn / etc sites, in which case to hell with air traffic control... what do pilots think the windows are for anyway?

Not really. We all feel hassled or below par (shouldn't that be "above par"?) or hungover or whatever at work, and in those instances, I adopt a more safety-first strategy than if I was feeling at the top of my game. A safety first strategy in that instance would have been row Z. I suppose the counter argument is that it was only Kazakhstan and he was feeling good because he's been playing his best football in three years so he tried something a little flashy. And to that, I'd say that defenders shouldn't ever try anything flashy on the pitch unless there is 100% no other way out of whatever situation they've gotten into.
Like I said...it's the thought or lack thereof behind his actions that irks me. Take taking penalties, for instance. Henry and Pires when they took that penalty. That was rubbish thinking. If they'd been going for the top corner and blasted it over, then the idea is good but the execution not. Even if they'd scored their "pass-penalty" it still would have been the wrong option. If they were six nil up or something, then fair play to the cocky so and sos, but as I remember didn't they draw that game?

Maybe they were nil nil at that point. Whatever, the point still remains that a better time for such shenanigans might have been against Everton or whoever it was they royally spanked that season.
