I've just got home after dropping my Dutch mate off at the airport. We went out boozing yesterday and my brother was somewhat the worse for wear and stole my bed yesterday; and I retired to the sofabed downstairs with good grace.

I wish I hadn't: as well as ketchup from the sausage sarnie I made him this morning all over the sheets, he has also pissed the bed. And then made it this morning without saying anything before going back to London. The little sod. I'm seriously considering taking a dump in a tupperware box, packaging it all up, and posting it to him at his work address.

What's going to get rid of the unwholesome staining on the mattress? Bio washing powder and warm water was my best attempt, but his staining powers appear undiminished. It's going to be a night in the spare room I think and a renewed attack with Febreeze as back-up tomorrow.

I think it might never come out but try vanish stain stick and then wipe it with a damp cloth. The warm water will just spread the stain. The other thing you can try is a no-wet foam upholstery stain remover which I have had success with on our posh chairs but it cost a few quid, although I am sure he will be happy to stump up the minty for it.

Good thinking. My folks have some chemdry miracle stain remover jobby for carpets, thinking about it now that's reminded me, perhaps that could work too. I've got some Vanish so I'll try that, although somehow it always seems such a bugger to find it in the kitchen.
