Woppa [del] to All
I woke up this morning unable to hear in my right ear. Any tips, anyone?

remove the peanut your partner playfully shoved in there while you were sleeping

That didn't work either. I guess I playfully shoved it in too hard. We've all been there.

I googled hearing loss and got this

In adults, hearing loss may be very gradual, as in age-related hearing loss, or it can be very sudden, as in some viral infections of the inner ear, or peanuts shoved in the ear overnight. If you, your friends or your family think that your hearing is deteriorating, you should see your GP.

Wrong time of year for the Isle of Man Gp I'd have thought.

Yep, I'll have to wait until september.

Do you have a cold ?
2008-10-22 13:32:14
No. No other symptoms at all. It does feel like wax or something, but I've only recently had my ears syringed before my last medical, so it's unlikely to be that. Still, it means I can doss around even more than usual at work today :)

It's probably your ears letting you know that they needed that wax for something. That's why people who get their ears syringed need to keep going back, the wax is there for a purpose.

Oh, and ooh ! Did you get a note from your mum ?

"Dear Work,

Woppa has to doss around even more than usual today, as he can't hear much, and so he shouldn't use the machine that goes ping.

Yours sincerely

Woppas' mum."
