Subject: I can't hear
got that when i used to go swimming, my ear would block up, then i would make it pop, then wake up in the morning deaf out that ear.
Well, this one is worth trying. Block up your nose[you can do it with your hands, no peanuts needed though I guess they would do the trick as well as hands], shut up your mouth and try to blow your nose as hard as possible.

Impossible.

That was not a proper nose-block then. Amateur!
And you didn't asked about the side effects.

I went to the doc's today. She reckons it's the lego man's head in my ear that's doing it.
Or wax. Olive oil in the ear for five days, then a good old syringing. Means I get nearly a week off work. Wax rocks!

I have awful ears. I've had those little plastic gromitty things at least half a dozen times when i was a child and i either picked them out or they fell out. I have incredibly waxy ears and i've been told it doesn't matter what i do i will have to have then continually syringed. The first time i got them done a couple of years ago it was like a new lease of life! I could hear things like my bro going thru my sleeve when i dress which i couldn't previously but it didn't last long. My ears constantly pop and i sniff a lot to combat it. I'm a bait deaf now and they need syringing. Doctor advises me to do the olly oil thing every weekend for the rest of my life but i can't be dealing with that. Anyway enough of my life story, i hated the first experience of syringing but others i have spoken to say they love it.
I'm one of them. I have to have a medical once every two years (at least until I'm an old git like Jaize. Then it'll be annually) and I go for it, and the doc says "Yeah, you passed the hearing test, but you should think about getting them syringed. So until now, it's been every two years that I got them syringed. But I only had the fricking things done in July. That's not very long ago at all. Not keen on having them syringed every quarter.
Yep, mine take a couple of months to fully clog, it's rubbish!
I had mine done once, everything sounded metallic for a couple of days. I can live without that.
