You can microwave it quite easily with a bit of water (essentially it steams it :))

unless woppa has fallen asleep in a drunken stupor, and then wakes in the next few hours still hungry and clutching his plastic bag of broccoli, I feel some of this advice has arrived too late..

Wassat? What day is it?
2008-11-28 11:59:59
Diet day. My visa card was blocked and my wallet is empty. Though I've seen some cats wandering around...

You will never catch them... try squirrels.

Pigeon pie?
2008-11-28 15:13:39
Ooh! That would be yum. Unless it is the mutant zombie pigeons round my office...

I thought that reminded me of something... :D and Hey-Presto it's Sticky Toffee Rat Onna Stick, a traditional dwarf recipe from Terry Pratchett's Discworld as it appears in Nanny Ogg's Cookbook.

Too bony for my liking.

They look tasty! what are they really?
2008-11-28 21:19:38
They are rat shaped, marzipan candy with other sugary tidbits for eyes, whiskers and tails.
The fur effect is achieved with chocolate powder and caramel.
A fine thing to gross kids out with :)

Have you ever played Fallout 2? You could have rat pie aswell on that.

They look great fun.

I have a friend touring SE Asia at the mo and she had rat yesterday. It seems a bit of hard work just to get a few rats for tea. Basically smoke them out of the sugar cane, twat them on the bonce, pass them through a fire to get the fur off, peel, fillet, mince. Curiously when you finally have the raw meat you then season* the goolies out of it!

Quelle surprise!

* Add more chillies than rat.

Indeed a wonderful alternative to anyone too drunk to boil his broccoli.
