Subject: Blackadder
It is tradition for some students to quote Monty Python over and over, apparently it is "cool". As far as I can see, I have never seen anyone laugh yet at one of these recitals...
Hm, now that sounds like a great idea! Just have to get the right students for the job...
Monty Python seems to have been default office humour for everywhere I've ever worked. Mainly because really dull blokes with a degree in astrophysics who know pi to 345 places can recite the parrot sketch or philosphers song verbatim and feel that they are being funny. Quite why these blokes were working for a call centre company i don't know.

Is it a call centre that sells Boxed Sets of DVD's for the erm, Christmas market?

it was a call centre that took and made calls for anyone and everyone that wanted to make or recieve them. Man. that was dull.
nope. you know them adverts on the telly ? you think you're calling landrover, you're actually calling sitel. it's very very dull.
In the spirit of this thread's original topic... this is just a cunning plan!
"Hello, is that Land Rover?"
"Ermmmm. Yes."
"It's not, is it."
"Yes it is."
"Look, this isn't even a proper argument."
Or something.

That means someone actually thinks about who to outsource that stuff to?! I will never complain about my job being boring again!
Yep ! Only thing was, people didn't think too carefully about it, so people like me would spend thousands of hours writing tool sto find the nearest milk round for Mrs Jones who wants 2 pints of semi-skilled milk every other Thursday, which funnily enough didn't give the dairy company very much money to pay us of for the thousands of hours of software development, so when the company realised this they resigned most of the unprofitable campaigns, and now they're mainly a glorified british gas call centre. It's very very dull.

No all people with physics degrees that know pi to 34 places can recite the parrot sketch. All I know is it went "This parrot is no more". I think.
Mind you, I can recite all manner of Cbeebies crud... Yes my name is iggle piggle....

Surely, being a forestman you would be a Tombliboo?
Not because they live in a forest mind you, mainly because their trousers are always "falling" down.

Weee got something new to watch. Got through probably everything that Monty Python has ever created. Was thinking about some of Rowan Atkinson's series ...the one taking place in army was quite funny, can't remember the name though...black viper? something like that...
Hehehe. Looks like I was talking about Blackadder ;-)
