Subject: English language - discussions
I've created this topic to discuss about the most popular language on the world :)
What do the English think about it? Is it hard to learn in your opinion?
Write, please :)
If someone writes something and makes a mistake, correct him! :D ..This topic may be also useful for practising english by citizens of not english-speaking country :)
Correct me if I wrote someting not like it should be :P

I found it easy to learn. I find the bastardisation of the language by radio presenters unbearable. Current annoyances:
- People who say/write "could of" instead of "could've"
- People not knowing how/when to use there/the're/their
- People saying off of, instead of from
- People using stood when they should use standing.
- Incorrect use of was/were.
- Double negatives - I ain't done nuffing
- Stupid people claiming they're dyslexic
- Xmas instead of Christmas. I'm not religious, in fact I'm an atheist, but I can't stand the use of Xmas.
That'll do for now.

I thought of another:
- People (racists really) complaining about foreigners coming over here and not learning the language when they can't read or write properly. Although I resent my taxes being spent on interpreters for things like the NHS.

Maybe you should have started with something simple... like Ogre.
Their theyre. Dont be like that. He could of not said anything.
Very thanks for corrections .. :)
I've been learning English for not quite long time and it's not as good as I wish..
In comparison to Polish, English is an very easy language, not quite hard to learn but you need a lot of time to learn anyway.. :)
Who wants to correct me? :P

Surely a person's first language is always easier to learn, at least to speak due to constant immersion in it?
Polish cannot be so hard that even the Poles can't speak it?!
Oh. Actually the English can't speak English, so maybe you are right...

Of course not :) I didn't said that :P
But each part of grammar in English is much easier than in Polish..

The same is in Poland ;p

I see very little Mandarin Chinese written here ;)
On the 'Dodgy Foreigner Scale' you are about 3/10... I should know!
