Good Morning!

I'm Mark and I'm 16 years old. I've been living in Guildford for three months. I'm looking for a good library with many historical books to sign it up. Unfortunately there are no such libraries in my city. I found an advertisement of yours one and I think it's an almost ideal offer for me. In the leaflet I read about your huge sets of historical books but I couldn't read anything about Science Fiction books which interest me too. How many them have you got? The main problem is that I live outside London. Is there any possibility of using the library for people like me? Maybe have you got an eventuality of borrowing books by the Internet? How much costs to belong and to borrow books?

I count on a quick answer!

Greetings!

Mark

1) Hi Chris! I was on the holidays in the mountains in last week. The village that I lived in was small but extremely wonderful. I lived in a hostel. There were cosy rooms with a fireplace each. From all windows were beautiful views on snowy mountains. It was a typical mountain place. You know that I love such things! I was spending time on skiing and walking in the mountains. It was a great time! I had never been in such a lovely place before. I'm going to go there also in winter holidays.

2) Hello my friends! My family have got a lovely small house in the mountains. It is situated in Scotland in Northwest Highlands. I'm going to go there in the first week of winter holidays.Maybe would you like to go with me ? If you would, you should take with yourselves warm blankets, thermos flasks, and the skis of course. Give me an quick answer! Greetings! Sam.

Could you correct any mistakes in text above? I would be thankful.. :P

Why do foreign speakers of English use 'greetings' so often?
or greets?

Neither is in use in English speaking countries as far as I know, is there a translating dictionary out there somewhere telling people to use them?

Anyway - greetings is a greeting (like hello) not a farewell or letter signoff... and archaic and used only by non-english speakers to demonstrate they are unfamiliar with current usage ;)
