I went fishing for a few days ago and got back yesterday. Just thought i would share my captures with you all :)

I have been fishing since September last year and have had 5 fish out of my local lake. Unfortunately i only have pictures of 3 :( The fishing was pretty hard as always lol but after chasing round the lake i managed to catch a couple.

17lb 2oz Common
18lb Mirror
19lb 2oz Common

I will add more details and pics as my fishing campaign continues :)

Thanks for reading Dale

I like fishing too, but I don't really get a chance to go too much. I normally go for things to eat though. That mirror carp must have been quite a sight.

Yeah it was, i was guttered when it only topped the scales at 18. i thought it was my first twenty. the lake i fish only has a lake record of 25lb. i will fish it this season and get that out, hopefully at a bigger weight. its been 3 years since my mate caught it, but i doubt it will be that much bigger as the fish are stunted. then i will move to a lake with 30 and 40lb carp.

a small lake then? 40lb fish will take you a while to bring in! ;-)

Yeah its just under 2 acres. mine have averaged at 15 minutes untill they were ready for netting. so a 40 will be an excellent fight. just down the road from this lake there is one thats 4 acres. it only holds 9 carp, but they are all over 30 with one at 42lb. it will be hard work catching them it will be worth it though.

seed your swim, pearl barley on a hazy spring morning, easy.

There is no such thing as easy in carp fishing ;) particles are ok but they bring in roach, which then leads to pike. then its game over, carp are a very shy fish.

Fish are best when eaten. :)

My favourite meal is a fresh fish.

Not that fresh. lol

When we go to Tenerife we go to this lovely fishing village where they have a restaurant that you pick the fish you want them to cook. I always go there and its yummy. ;)

I like dropping anchor when sailing and popping a shiny line over the side, hooking out a few mackerel, a knock on the head, then on the grill. 8 minutes from sea to belly. Perfect.
